An opinion on the Honey Tone Mini Amp from Danelectro

By Ted Furnwell

Don't let the small size of this mini amp trick you "the Danelectro N10BK Honey Tone Mini guitar amp is a great little amp that will simply clip on to your belt buckle! If you would like a transportable guitar amp that may provide you clean, crisp sound or a twisted tone without needing to bring along a bigger amplifier, then this may very well be the ideal fit for you.

Danelectro Mini Amp

RRP: $19.95

Danelectro won't be one of the older brands out there when it comes to musical clobber but they do have a good niche of fashionable hardware like this one. If you're not so serious and just really value the portability of the practice amp, then this might just be what you are looking for.

Why this amplifier is perfect for you

The classic, vintage feel of this amp makes it a perfect present for those who like to rock it out on the go. The Old Skool shape and the branding makes it an attrctive yet funky musical accessory.

This amp wont suit you if:

- You want a practice amp that will also double as a performance amplifier.
- You need more settings than just the 2 built in ones provided in this practice amp.
- You frequently practice with the entire band, and not on your own, hence you want a practice amp that will go against the heavy sound of your bass player or the drum setup.
- You expect extremely good sound quality each time you practice. Remember that this is merely a practice amp and is essentially there to keep you company even when on a busy schedule, not always giving you the best audio quality output that you are expecting from more powerful models.
